The motorist can easily get into an accident due to his own negligence in relation to the tires. If the tires are incorrectly inflated, then it is quite likely. However, to constantly monitor the condition of car tires is very difficult, and at times does not remain on all the time. For this reason, it is best to install special pressure sensors on the wheels.
Why monitor tire pressure?
Everything is explained quite simply. The stability of the car on the road depends on the good adhesion of the wheels and the roadbed. The quality of this clutch is affected by tire pressure. If the tyres are inflated properly, the safety of the driver increases. At the same time, it should be understood that the pressure should be optimal, it should not be allowed to increase or decrease excessively.
How to help a motorist pressure sensors in the tires?
Regardless of the type of pressure sensors, they are able to notify the driver of the available pressure in the tires.
Tire pressure monitoring systems can be of two kinds:
- Systems with indirect control.
- Systems with direct control.
When using the first system, the tyre pressure is monitored indirectly, that is, the analysis is performed by the on-Board computer using information from the sensors of the ABS system. To this end, the unit is additionally stitched. The on-Board computer, after comparing the received data with the norm, notifies the driver, if necessary, with a signal in the form of an audible alert or a light indicator in the torpedo.
The advantages of this system are that it is capable of performing many functions. However, the cons of it also has, for example, the system can not accurately determine which wheel is not enough pressure.
The direct monitoring system operates on the basis of pressure sensors inside the chamber. Such systems are mechanical and electronic.
Mechanical systems are presented in the form of products based on mechanics. These are caps with a transparent tip on top, which is attached to the valve. Based on what pressure is present inside the chamber, the color of the cap changes. The advantages of such pressure sensors include their low cost and easy installation.
But the disadvantages they have much more:
- When traveling by car, it is simply impossible to control the color change of the indicator;
- Accurately determine the tire pressure using such devices will not work;
- Serve as mechanical sensors may not be more than six months.
Now a little about electronic pressure monitoring systems. These sensors are able to show more accurate information about the chamber pressure. In addition, they have much more features and are easy to install.
Convenience in the use of electronic systems is justified by the fact that the driver receives all the necessary information on the display in the cabin. During driving the driver can get information about the following parameters:
- Tire pressure;
- The temperature in the chambers;
- The speed at which the wheel rotates;
- The volume of the tire;
- Disonance.
