Good afternoon,
Many users of TPMS systems are concerned about the issue.
How to make friends with a new sensor on-Board system
There are two main approaches. Sensors are stitched into the system using special equipment, or without it.
The first approach is certainly beneficial to autocenters, service workshops, because this service costs from 500 to 1500 rubles per one sensor. But what about trucks who have 22 wheels. And prescribing the sensor is already turning into an overhead expense item.
Modern tire pressure monitoring systems should be able to flash sensors without the use of additional equipment. For example, TPMS Tire Keeper has a simple system of training. In case of failure of the sensor, the driver will always be able to flash a new sensor. For this purpose it is necessary to specify what kind of tire he put a new sensor, and change the pressure in the wheel (or lower pressure). The sensor will send a signal, and the system will remember the data about it.
Thus, additional equipment, connection to the internal system of the car is not required. And most importantly, no additional costs are required.
